Blender review 3

Edit mode

I used 3D studio MAX for 6 years. The difference between Blender and 3DSMax is edit mode. In 3DSMax seem to provide the basic polygon for 3D creating but Blender is not. Blender provide the easy editing polygon mode. When I wanna edit polygon, I just change it into Edit Mode(TAB). These is same in polygon conceptual. The mesh combined with vertex, edge and face.

Extrude

I can extrude mesh in easy way. Presses E on keyboard for extrude function. Before that I have to select some vertex, edge or face. Then press E to extrude mesh and move mouse to decide direction.

Bevel

I can use bevel edge by

1. Enter edit mode

2. Select each edge for bevel

3. Press w (on keyboard) to use bevel function.

4. Move mouse left or right direction for set bevel depth

Before assign bevel on mesh

Rotate mesh element

Mesh element can also rotate. Below I select edges in middle of object and press R (Rotate). Then move

mouse left or right for rotate edges around that. The face was twisted. This is very easy editing method.


There are a lot of editing function in Blender but I don’t use function of all yet. Blender is very easy.
